InfoWorks is a suite of integrated software applications designed to enhance the competitive position of electric power utilities and other similar industries with manufacturing or processing facilities by improving strategic and operating decisions through better information management.

The Radiation Protection Management application provides a means to capture, track, maintain and control exposure to radiation. This application uses a workflow process to automate the development and life cycle of Radiation Work Permits, ALARA Reviews, Personnel Processing, Temporary Shielding Requests, and Exposure Evaluations. In addition, this application automates access to radiologically controlled areas.

Action Management

The Action Management application ensures timely resolution of issues, events, conditions, and actions that impact an organization. This application uses a workflow process to automate the identification and life cycle of action items.

Component Management

The Component Management application maintains data related to systems, structures, components, sub-components, parts, and part assemblies. This application contains the information needed to support facility maintenance, operation, engineering, and procurement.

Training and Qualification Management

The Training and Qualification Management application provides a means to control organizational training and certification processes. This application provides the training center and work groups the information needed to ensure that employees and contractors maintain the knowledge, experience, and certification necessary to perform work.

Personnel Profiles and System Security

The Personnel Profiles application maintains basic employee and contractor demographic and organizational information.

The System Security Application controls user access to all InfoWorks applications and data.

Configuration Management

The Configuration Management application tracks the life cycle of the physical and functional characteristics of systems, structures, and components. Using workflow, imaging, and component data, this application automates the development and life cycle of facility modifications.

Document Management

The Document Management application controls all aspects of document creation, review, approval, control, usage, distribution, maintenance, and archiving. Integrated with workflow, imaging, and Object Linking and Embedding (OLE) capabilities, this application supports the goal of a paper-light operation.

Work Management

The Work Management application provides a means for identifying, planning, scheduling, controlling, and coordinating work activities by using a workflow process to automate the development and life cycle of work orders. More specifically, it supports the following:
