For two thirds of the domestic utilities TRENDS is the best choice as an Inspection, Enforcement, Reactor Oversight and Performance Indicator service.
The TRENDS Program offers attributes and capabilities that are not provided by other services. This service is an essential tool for helping utility professionals with the primary responsibility of interfacing with NRC inspectors and carrying out corrective actions resulting from NRC's inspection activities. While other organizational disciplines benefit from TRENDS, the compliance and licensing staffs use our robust research weapons most often.
The TRENDS staff has tracked and screened NRC inspection information since 1985. Numerous operating reactor inspection reports are issued each year, and the TRENDS staff carefully reviews each inspection report. Critical information regarding findings is placed into the searchable TRENDS database.
Because TRENDS is a shared-cost, member-supported program, the basic program services can be provided to participants at a fraction of what it would cost them to obtain the same resources individually.
Supplemental Assistance provides Members with an immediate staff augmentation service, as needed. The TRENDS staff responds to requests by Members for comparative benchmarking data based on peer groups, informal NRC Staff interpretations, document retrieval, industry surveys, issue research and more. This is a key feature of the program.
